Hi!
So. It's officially the last night of summer. Tomorrow is the last day of summer. Then back to school and craziness and seeing my few close friends again.
Back to School means a lot of things. It means back to homework like crazy. It means back to the awesome band rehearsals and listening to everyone play together. Back to wearing that ID around my neck everyday. Back to seeing all of my friends. Back to obessively organizing my binder and locker every 5 minutes, and being annoyed that I have a bottom locker. It means having to choose an outfit for everyday, and this year I have to think about it more because we are in 7th grade. It means screaming in a pillow because I have no fashion sense at all and wishing I could wear my uniform. But mostly it means that I'm not a little 6th grader anymore, and that I'm almost to the top of the school. And it means that I'll get confused again when people ask me what grade I'm in. And it means looking down at the little 6th graders, thinking that was me last year.
Summer, I'll miss you. I did so many things, while they weren't huge, they still were pretty awesome. Going to volleyball camp-that was fun. Going on the boat with Alex and then getting heatstroke/a bad sunburn and being sick for three days. Then getting up after those three days and have only one day to pack to go to Abby's. Being at her house, than coming back down to my house, with her. Spending 4th of July with Abby and Alex, watching the stinky fireworks, and making Alex eat/drink so many disgusting conbinations. Then dancing/singing in my room, with the lights off, ipod's blaring, and each singing/dancing to something different. And then being sad after Abby had to go home. Then going to Southlake Town Square with Alex and spending the day there. And suprisingly not getting kicked out of any stores. Then Annie slept over, and we saw the Harry Potter movie, which I was completely confused during. Of course, Alex and my day at Skatetown. Staying there for 5 hours and being incredibly sore afterwords. Abby and I both obnoxiously begging our parents to let us visit again. Then visiting again and having so much fun. The me being in the pool with all my clothes still on, random phone calls to each other, watching the TCA's together, the awesomely awesome Frebreeze/Lysol/Bug Spray war I declared on her and won, dancing/singing in the dark again, and of course, Death by Chocolate.
So yeah. I had a pretty fun summer. And I got to spend time with some of my favorite people ever. For those of you who I didn't get to hang out with, I'm sorry :( We have a whole school year and another summer still...
The title of this blog is from the song Our Last Night by Better than Ezra. I thought it would be appropriate because it's the last night of summer and all.
And this has become a monster of a blog. If you read it-awesome :) And if you read it, go ahead and leave a comment! Just put your name at the end of the comment so I knew who it was from :D
Summer, thank you for being awesome. See you next year!
